About Tim McAfee, CPP

Security Program Architect

Tim McAfee is a physical security consultant with over 25 years of progressive experience spanning law enforcement, executive protection, and corporate security leadership. He holds the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) credential — the gold standard in physical security.

Prior to founding McAfee Security Consulting LLC, Tim served as Director of Global Security at a Fortune 500 global semiconductor manufacturer, where he built and scaled enterprise security programs across four domestic campuses and international locations. He has built security operations centers, asset protection programs, event security frameworks, and EHS programs from the ground up.

Tim's foundation in law enforcement includes 13 years of police service in the San Francisco Bay Area, rising to Detective Sergeant with specialized tactical operations training. He holds a Master of Science in Justice Administration from Norwich University and a BS in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
